"At Carey's we’ve inherited such an amazing staff and the clientele here have been great. Some form of restaurant or pub has been at our location for at least six decades so we’ve also inherited a real heritage here.”
Alain said there will be little change to the pub, although as a full-blooded Scot, he does chuckle at the proliferation of Irish greens.
"I get some teasing about that,” he said. "But we’re going to keep things pretty much the same; the menu will stay 90 per cent the same and we’ll just tweak it a little on the lunch menu to offer some of our North (Restaurant) lunch items that people like.”
"The really nice thing is none of the restaurants compete against each other; it can be all the same customers but each (restaurant) is very different fare,” Robbie said.
The pub will maintain its traditional hours, open every day except Sundays from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The Back Door Fish with Chips has moved to it's new location at Carey's Pub, Take out fish and chips are now available from Carey's year round!
